Happy Friday!

As we wrap up another great week at Marshall, we are already looking ahead to some fun on the horizon! Our Mustangs have been working hard, building strong classroom communities, and continuing to grow as learners. We have a lot to celebrate—and a well-earned break coming soon!

🏀⚽🏈 Sport Day – Friday, October 2!
We are kicking off October with a little Marshall spirit! Friday, October 2 is Sport Day!
Grab your favorite jersey, team uniform, college gear, or other sports attire and wear it to school. Whether you are cheering for a favorite professional team, representing your own team, or showing some college pride, we can't wait to see our Mustangs show their spirit!

🍁 October Break – October 5–9
After Sport Day, we head straight into October Break! There will be no school October 5–9.
We hope our Marshall families have something fun, restful, and relaxing planned for the week. Whether you are traveling, spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, or simply slowing down at home, we hope everyone has an opportunity to recharge and enjoy some time together.

Our students have already put so much energy into learning, building relationships, and living out our Marshall expectations this year. We are proud of the strong start they have made and grateful for the families who support them each day.
Let's finish this stretch strong, enjoy a fun Sport Day, and then head into October Break ready for some well-deserved rest!
Have a wonderful weekend, Mustangs! 💜🐴

Volunteer Opportunities!

We are excited to offer more opportunities for families to get involved and volunteer at Marshall!

Throughout the year, we will have a variety of ways you can help support our students, staff, and campus.

Please take a look at the volunteer opportunities below and sign up for any that work with your schedule.

Thank you for sharing your time and helping make Marshall a wonderful place for our students!

Take a Look at Our Learners!

Math In Action

You may hear your child talk about Math in Action tasks as part of our Ready Math learning. These tasks give students an opportunity to put their math learning to work!

Rather than simply practicing a skill or solving a set of problems, Math in Action asks students to apply what they have learned to meaningful, real-world situations and multi-step problems. Students may need to decide what information is important, choose a strategy, use different mathematical tools or representations, and explain the thinking behind their solution.

These experiences help our Mustangs see that math isn't just about getting the right answer, it's about thinking, problem-solving, communicating, making connections, and persevering when the solution isn't immediately obvious.

Math in Action supports our Marshall commitment to developing curious learners who are prepared to use a STEM approach to tackle the challenges of an ever-changing world.
