We had another fun and productive week of learning at Marshall! Our Mustangs continue to settle into the school year, strengthen their classroom communities, and show us just how much they are capable of.
This week, we hosted our monthly school assemblies, where our focus was on what it means to be Supportive and Encouraging of one another. Students had a chance to think about how their words and actions can help create a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and ready to learn. We carried that message back into our classrooms with some fun opportunities to practice teamwork, communication, and working together toward a common goal and we had a lot of fun along the way!
Students also continued working through some of our beginning-of-the-year academic assessments. We have been so proud of the effort and perseverance they have shown. These assessments give our teachers important information about where students are starting the year, the strengths they already bring and the areas where we can provide additional challenge or support. Most importantly, our students really gave it their all!
We also loved ending the week together with another successful Family Picnic! Thank you to all of our families who were able to join us. Opportunities like these are about more than simply having fun together—they help strengthen the relationships and sense of belonging that make Marshall such a special community.
As we continue into the year, we remain focused on creating a Marshall where students develop and investigate their curiosities, learn alongside and from one another, and feel emotionally and physically safe to take on new challenges.
