We had another fun and full week of learning at Marshall! It has been wonderful to see students settling into routines, building relationships with their teachers and classmates, and beginning to dig into the learning ahead. Each week, our goal is to continue building classrooms where students feel known, connected, challenged, and excited to learn.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Family Picnic of the year! It was such a great way to close out the week and spend time together as a community. We love having families on campus and appreciate the energy, connection, and sense of community you bring to Marshall.

Thank You for Your Patience at Check-In
We also appreciate everyone's patience with our visitor sign-in procedures during the picnic. With so many families arriving at once, we know the process took a little longer than usual!

A tip to make future visits much faster: If you have not yet registered in our visitor system, consider stopping by the office during a less busy time to complete your first sign-in. Once you are registered, our facial recognition check-in can recognize you on future visits, making the process much quicker and easier. You will need a valid state ID to register.

These procedures are an important part of keeping our campus safe while continuing to make Marshall a welcoming place for our families. Thank you for partnering with us on both!

Back-to-School Connections Are Next Week! EARLY RELEASE ALL WEEK (12:50)
If you haven't already, please make sure you have signed up for a Back-to-School Connection conference with your child's teacher.

These conversations are an important part of how we begin the year at Marshall. They give you an opportunity to share the strengths, interests, experiences, and assets your child brings to the classroom—and help teachers better understand the environments and supports that allow your child to thrive. Our commitment to meaningful and affirming learning begins with truly knowing our students, and you are an essential partner in helping us do that.

If you haven't received sign-up information or aren't sure how to schedule your conference, please reach out to your child's teacher.

And Coming Soon…
Back-to-School Night!
We're also looking forward to welcoming everyone back to campus for Back-to-School Night! While Back to School connections focus on us learning from you about your child, Back to School night give you an opportunity to learn about the teacher, the classroom, and the school. It will also be another opportunity to connect with our Marshall community and build the strong family-school partnership that helps our Mustangs thrive.

Be sure to check out the Back-to-School Night Details Provided in the post.

Thank you for another wonderful week and for the patience, positivity, and partnership you continue to bring as we get this school year underway. We are off to a great start, Mustangs!
Have a wonderful weekend!
